Cain Branch Stables is located in Pamplico, SC in the Hannah community, just outside of Lake City. Owned by Lisa McAllister and her husband Kevin, Cain Branch Stables is a family owned and operated farm that has been in the family for many years. Lisa is a the resident farrier, horse owner, horse lover, riding instructor and warm hearted rescuer.

Boarding - Let us board your horse! We have stalls, an arena, a round pen, tack storage, and wash area. Cain Branch Stables is in a beautiful country setting, with good pasture and great riding trails. We also have a pond for fishing to keep dad busy.
Pasture Board with twice a day feedings - $200 a month
Owners live on premises!

Rescue/Rehab - Lisa took her knowledge as a farrier and took on her first horse rehab case five years ago. It was a horse named Smokey who had foundered. Smokey is doing well with his family and is a happy 25+ years old.
Our rescue/Rehab horses require lots of care and special attention to correct problem feet and/or get weight back on them to make them adoptable. Cain Branch Stables takes on these horses and does all the care for them for free. Our goal is to help these wonderful creatures get back on their feet and become healthy again.

M&M
M & M is a 22 year old mustang mare. M & M has the run of the farm and continues her care for founder. She has good days and bad ones but her will to live is strong and her eyes tell you so.

Edge
Edge was in trouble and badly foundered with the coffin bone coming through the bottom of the hoof. Lisa constructed a wooden shoe for Edge which helped him through the rehabilitation process. |
Jack
Racking Pony who found a forever home at Cain Branch Stables.
Jack is used for lessons and parties and enjoys being painted pink!

Arthur
Retired dinner show horse who had colicked and was losing weight and no longer could be cared for by his owner. Arthur has a way to go to get back in shape but he is getting there quickly. |

Ibu (left and right)
Ibu came to us from someone who purchased her at a sale in hopes of getting her back on her feet and healthy. Ibu had to be brought here in the trailer lying down as she could not get up. Ibu passed away after getting back on her feet enough to enjoy life here at Cain Branch Stables for a few happy months. Ibu touched us all. |

How can you help? - You can help us by donating shavings for their bedding on those cold rainy days or just plain cash to help with the feed and hay and medications. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated. You can also come out and help brush, bath, handle the horses if you cannot donate items or cash. The horses love the attention. Come see us!
